Forest School at luckwell
In Forest School, we provide a fully inclusive and engaging forest school experience, with exciting outdoor learning opportunities. Carefully planned by our Level 3 Forest School Leader, Helen Prewett, sessions incorporate, develop and complement the Curriculum.
Forest School utilises a hands-on approach, encouraging children to make decisions, work in a team and to take risks within certain boundaries. The Forest School approach has been shown to build resilience, boost self-esteem and develop confidence, through creative engagement with the natural world.
We run Forest School Sessions on our ever evolving Forest School site. The sessions run for around 2 hours. Each class will have the opportunity to attend Forest School sessions during the year. We also visit other woodland locations, each providing a very different holistic experience.
Luckwell Primary was recently recognised as a Forest School provider by the Forest School Association. They are the professional body and UK wide voice for Forest School; promoting best practice, cohesion and ‘quality Forest School for all’
At Luckwell, we strive to ensure children can learn through exploring the Natural World. We have a passion for the outdoors and child led learning.
