Breakfast & After School Club (LBASC)
LBASC provides care before and after school for the children of Luckwell Primary School. We offer a safe, stimulating and happy environment where children are supervised by a small, committed and professional staff team.
The Club is based in the Old Caretaker's House within the school grounds. We offer a homely and welcoming environment, with spaces for arts and craft, quiet time, music, computing or films. We also utilise the school’s playgrounds and sports hall for physical play. Children have access to a range of play equipment during the sessions and can make choices about the activities and play that they want to participate in. They are also involved in the planning of their activities, and we welcome and act on their feedback.
Although we are based within the grounds of Luckwell School, and work closely with school staff, LBASC is an independent not for profit organisation run by a voluntary management committee comprised of parents who use the Club. The management committee employs the staff team and meets to review the running of the Club. We also have a range of policies and procedures that govern how we operate: the key ones can be found in the policies and procedures section of our website. Please also see LBASC's Welcome Pack for further information about the Club.
LBASC is regulated by Ofsted (Reg. no. 107007). It was last inspected on 24 April 2023 and 'met' Ofsted's quality of childcare standards . We are confident that the children who attend LBASC enjoy and benefit from their time with us, but it is also reassuring to hear the positive feedback from children and their parents (please see their comments).
